Product Questions
What types of products does Beleaf carry?
Beleaf stocks flower, pre-rolls, edibles (gummies, chocolates, beverages), concentrates (shatter, wax, rosin), tinctures, vaporizers, topicals (creams and salves), and accessories (papers, grinders, storage). Product availability varies by location.
What is the difference between indica, sativa, and hybrid?
Indica strains are associated with relaxation, sedation, and body effects, commonly used for evening consumption. Sativa strains are associated with energetic, uplifting, cerebral effects for daytime use. Hybrids blend both genetics. These are generalizations; individual experience varies based on cannabinoid content, terpene profiles, and personal biology.
What is THC and CBD?
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the primary psychoactive compound causing the "high" feeling. CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-intoxicating compound that many users report provides relaxation without the high. Products vary in THC:CBD ratios, creating different experiences.
How do I choose the right strain?
Consider your desired effects (relaxation, energy, focus, sleep), consumption time (daytime vs evening), experience level (start low-THC if new), and consumption method preference. Beleaf budtenders can recommend strains based on your specific preferences.
How do edibles differ from smoking?
Edibles take 1-2 hours to take effect but last 4-8 hours. Smoking effects begin within minutes but last 1-3 hours. Edibles produce stronger body effects for many users. Start with 5-10mg THC for edibles if you are new to cannabis. Never take more before the first dose has fully taken effect.
What are terpenes and why do they matter?
Terpenes are aromatic compounds in cannabis that contribute to flavor and may influence effects. Common terpenes include limonene (citrus, uplifting), myrcene (earthy, sedative), pinene (pine, mental clarity), and linalool (floral, calming). Terpene profiles help predict experiences beyond just THC content.
How should I dose cannabis as a beginner?
Start low and go slow. For flower: take one small inhalation and wait 15 minutes before more. For edibles: begin with 2.5-5mg THC and wait at least 2 hours. For tinctures: start with the lowest recommended dose sublingually. Increase gradually over multiple sessions.
What are concentrates?
Concentrates are highly potent cannabis extracts including shatter, wax, rosin, live resin, and hash. They typically contain 60-90% THC compared to 15-30% in flower. Concentrates require specific consumption devices like dab rigs or vaporizers and are recommended for experienced consumers only.
Are all Beleaf products lab-tested?
Yes. Every product sold at Beleaf has been tested by ISO-certified laboratories for THC/CBD potency, pesticide residues, microbial contamination, heavy metals, and moisture content. Test results appear on packaging via QR codes linking to full lab reports.
How long does cannabis stay fresh?
Properly stored cannabis flower stays fresh for several months to a year. Store in cool, dark locations in sealed containers. Heat, light, and moisture degrade potency and quality. Edibles and concentrates have their own shelf lives printed on packaging.
What is microdosing?
Microdosing means consuming very small amounts of THC (1-5mg) to achieve mild, functional effects without significant impairment. Many consumers microdose for subtle mood enhancement, creativity, or mild relaxation while remaining fully functional.
What are topicals and do they get you high?
Topicals are cannabis-infused creams, balms, and salves applied to the skin for localized relief. Most topicals do not produce psychoactive effects because cannabinoids do not enter the bloodstream through skin. They are used for muscle soreness, joint discomfort, and skin conditions.
